Guide at a glance · Follow the steps below

Set exclusions per website

Open Websites → IP exclusions on the relevant website card. Add your current public IP or the other addresses you want to exclude using the format accepted by the settings panel, then save. Repeat for each website that needs the rule.

Understand the scope

An IP address may be shared by an office, household or mobile network. Excluding it can exclude other visitors on that connection too. Your public IP may change when you switch networks, use a VPN or your provider changes the address.

Test from an eligible connection

  1. Use a different connection whose public IP is not excluded, or temporarily remove your own exclusion.
  2. Use a logged-out browser and grant consent.
  3. Visit a few pages and check Recordings for the selected website.
  4. Restore any temporary exclusion changes when finished.

Private browsing does not change your public IP. An excluded IP can also prevent the TMV Go consent controls from loading, so use a non-excluded connection when testing the banner.

Existing recordings

Exclusions prevent eligible future collection; they do not remove old recordings. Review any historical internal visits separately before deleting them. Return to the first-recording checklist.
