PRACTICAL GUIDE
Customize consent and add a Cookie Settings link
Configure your TMV Go banner and let visitors reopen preferences from the footer.
Customize the notice
Open Websites → Consent manager. Edit the title, disclosure, Accept and Decline labels, privacy-policy URL, color and preference duration. Describe the tools actually used on your site. Changing consent settings requires visitors to make a fresh choice.
Use a footer link
Select Footer/custom link placement and add this button to the footer of every public page where the recorder runs:
<button type="button" data-tmvgo-preferences>Cookie Settings</button>
TMV Go connects it automatically. It opens the consent panel, where Decline withdraws permission. No separate withdrawal page is needed. If an accessible custom control is missing, the floating cookie icon remains available as a fallback. You can instead choose to always show the floating control.
Verify all choices
- Use a fresh browser on a non-excluded connection.
- Check that capture does not start before permission.
- Accept, then reopen Cookie Settings and decline.
- Reload to confirm the preference is remembered.
- Check the footer link on mobile, including pages with sticky buttons.
Global Privacy Control keeps optional TMV Go capture off. Withdrawal stops further capture and clears pending browser recording data; recordings already received follow retention.
Existing consent tools
Cookiebot can supply its Statistics permission. Other managers can use the documented JavaScript integration. TMV Go consent controls cover TMV Go recording; they do not automatically block unrelated advertising or analytics tools. See consent features and scope.
